Thesis Topic: Leonardo da Vinci’s Conception of the Soul
Arturo Balaguer Townsend is a senior in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences studying history and philosophy. He is in the pre-health program and will attain his master’s degree in bioethics in the fall of 2021 as he applies to medical school. He is currently working on his honors thesis, which will compare Leonardo da Vinci’s conceptions of the soul with that of others in the intellectual history of the mind-body problem. In his spare time at BC, he enjoys being one of the captains of the Fuego del Corazon Latin Dance Team, DJ-ing, and spending quality time with his friends. One of his favorite places on campus, besides Stokes Hall, is the Brighton Dance Studio, where he has made the majority of his favorite college memories. Arturo will always carry the many memories of Boston College deep in his heart, and plans to build on them as he continues to chase his dream of becoming a surgeon.
