Upcoming BCEEAN event: Hot Topics in Energy and Environment

BCEEAN is holding its first event in several years at Boston College. This networking event will also feature a facilitated panel discussion from BC faculty from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and BC alumni currently working in the energy and environmental industries.

Join the BC Energy and Environment Alumni Network (BCEEAN) for a night of networking and conversation. We have brought together a panel of outstanding Eagles and faculty to discuss the latest topics in our rapidly-changing fields.

Serafina Zeringo ’12, who works with the Massachusetts House chair of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture, will speak about local policies and state funding for environmental initiatives.
Carling Hay, BC faculty, will offer her thoughts on the city’s future risk for long-term sea-level rise.
Jeremy Shakun, BC faculty, will discuss global warming and climate change.
Erin Malone ’08, who works for Synapse Energy Economics, will discuss energy efficiency policy, program design, and implementation.

The conversation will be moderated by Tara Pisani Gareau, acting director of BC’s Environmental Studies Program.
